The situation
Manta Roofs had been producing custom-made canopies for years. Each one was digitally measured and made in the company's own workshop. The technical quality was already there, but the brand did little to show it.
The ambition reached further. The company wanted to set the standard in the premium segment and turn a canopy into something desirable, much like Dyson once did with the vacuum cleaner.
That next chapter began under the new name Mobuline. We were asked to create a brand that reflected the same level of quality as the product.

Talking tech instead of experience
Known as a supplier, not yet as a design brand
The craftsmanship stayed out of sight
Too much choice, too little trust

The focus shifted from the canopy itself to the space it creates beneath it.
That space becomes a garden you use more often, a terrace that remains comfortable on hot or wet days or a hospitality setting where people stay longer. Mobuline turns outdoor space into an integral part of everyday life.
That shift also changed the brand story. It was no longer about the canopy, but about what draws people outside.

Mobuline positions itself as a textile architect. The term reflects how the company works, combining engineering precision, a designer's eye and deep craftsmanship.
Every canopy is measured using 3D technology and made in the company's own workshop. The fabric responds to the space, the architecture and the client's wishes, giving every installation its own shape and character.
The promise goes beyond protection from sun and rain. Mobuline turns the outdoors into a place that feels like a natural extension of life inside.
Guided by that idea, the website, sales conversations and communication materials all begin with the space that can be created. The technology supports the story. The place comes first.

'Connected by warmth, craftsmanship and innovation.'
Mobuline believes that a well-designed outdoor space draws people outside to eat together, talk, relax or simply stay a little longer. In this way, the outdoors becomes an extension of life indoors and part of everyday life, all year round.

The design
The visual identity grows directly from the product. Polylines inspired by the cutting lines and tension of the fabrics form the central graphic element.
The lines respond to their surroundings, sometimes loose and open, sometimes taut and technical. Like the canopies themselves, they adapt to the space while retaining a recognisable character.
The colour palette is built around warm earth tones: terracotta, burgundy, taupe, clay and stone. Off-white and black add calm and contrast. Together, they give the brand a warm, premium feel that suits both architecture and outdoor living.

The website first shows what a Mobuline canopy can do for an outdoor space, before revealing how the product is made.
The content is structured around four layers: the brand, the client, the market and the wider world Mobuline wants to be part of. Lifestyle imagery, stories and content tailored to different client groups give visitors a clear sense of what is possible.

A strong product does not automatically create a strong brand
Mobuline already had the technology, craftsmanship and production quality in house. Yet the market still saw the company primarily as a canopy supplier. The category defined how the brand was perceived.
By positioning itself as a textile architect, Mobuline changed the conversation. The focus is now on what the company adds to a space and to the life that unfolds there.
The broader lesson is clear: moving beyond a functional category requires claiming a new position. The story has to be designed with the same care as the product.
